Rotarian Monthly Meeting
On 19.09.2024, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held a meeting at Tirana Sky Hotel, joined by Governor-Elect Arben Dushi, where President Gerti Calliku presented club activities, members discussed projects and contributions, and the evening concluded with a friendly club dinner.
A different day for the Elder People Home of Fier
On 14.11.2024, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan visited the Fier Elder People's Home before continuing to Vlora for an excursion, a special lunch, and gifts for the elderly—an activity that, though symbolic, carried a powerful message of love, care, and awareness, made possible thanks to the club’s contributors and sponsors.
Rotary Caring for Children
On 20.11.2024, members of the Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan visited the “Zyber Hallulli” Orphanage in Tirana as part of their 2024 charity initiatives. Director Valbona Imeraj presented the institution’s current situation and needs. During the visit, the club donated one tablet and two PlayStations.
Year-End Festive & Charity Dinner
On 17.12.2024, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its Festive & Charity Dinner. President Gerti Calliku reviewed the club’s 2024 achievements, including the formation of the RC Tirana Heritage Satellite Club. Certificates of Gratitude, Rotarian of the Year, and new membership certificates were awarded. Rotarians from several clubs attended, and the funds raised will support future charity projects.
Twinning Visit to Italy
From 20–23.12.2024, representatives of Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan, along with other clubs from Albania and Kosovo, visited Italy for the twinning of Rotary International District 2485 (Albania-Kosovo) with District 2110 (Sicily-Malta). Highlights included participation in the RC Piana degli Albanesi twinning and visits to several museums in Palermo, hosted by RC Palermo Monreale. During the visit, agreements were signed to cooperate on joint projects between clubs.
Rotary Brings Smiles to Children
Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan has launched an initiative to provide free specialized orthodontic care to children from the “Zyber Hallulli” Children’s Home, offered by the University Dental Clinic at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center. President Gert Çalliku and three club members met with the director, Belisa Kaleci, and the dental staff to discuss the initiative. Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan remains committed to supporting children in need through sustainable, long-term projects.
Marking Milestones: Rotary Gala Evening
On 19.03.2025, a Gala Evening was held at the Brigades Palace to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Rotary International in Albania and the 1st anniversary of Rotary District 2485 (Albania-Kosovo). Rotary International President Stephanie A. Urchick attended the event. A highlight was the Paul Harris recognition awarded to Ndrec LLUSKU for his contributions to the founding of Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan and the creation of District 2485. (Albania - Kosovo)
Rotary District 2485 E-Club Visit
Governor Butrint Batalli, with his wife Rrezarta Nallbani Batalli, Governor-Elect Arben Dushi, and Assistant Governor Bujar Cepeli, visited the E-Club of Tirana Cosmopolitan on 28.05. Club President Gerti Çalliku presented the club’s achievements and projects, highlighting its innovative role in promoting Rotary values. The visitors praised the club’s active involvement and specially recognized Ndrec Llusku for his dedication in founding the club. The visit concluded with a friendly dinner, reflecting the Rotary spirit of service and community impact.
