Rotary eClub Presidential Transition

On 04.07.2025, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its Festive Dinner at Sky Tower Hotel 5* to mark the presidential transition (“Bell Change”) from Mr. Gerti Calliku to Ms. Silvana Karajani. The event was attended by representatives from RC Durres 24 and RC Tirana West. President Gerti Calliku reviewed the club’s 2024/25 activities and distributed various certificates to members. A special moment was the presentation of the Membership Certificate to Majlind Lazimi, who joins the club as a valuable addition with an outstanding professional and social profile.

Meeting Focused on Growth and Projects

Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its latest meeting at Sky Tower Hotel Tirana, discussing the progress of ongoing projects and evaluating new initiatives for the 2025/2026 Rotary year. Club President Silvana Karajani emphasized the importance of expanding membership through the “one bring one” initiative, inviting distinguished members of society to join and strengthen the Rotary family.

Exploring “The Albanian Toast”

On October 2nd, 2025, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its regular meeting at Sky Hotel Tirana. Guest speaker Prof. Sherif Bundo presented his latest book, The Albanian Toast, recently listed in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage and a candidate for UNESCO recognition. The presentation sparked lively discussion, followed by a dinner featuring an exhibition of traditional Albanian toasts. Club President Silvana Karajani presented Prof. Bundo with a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the club.

Honoring Distinguished New Members

On October 16th, 2025, under President Silvana Karajani, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its regular meeting at Sky Hotel Tirana. The highlight was welcoming new member Mrs. Venera Xhillari and potential member Mr. Arnold Koci, both distinguished professionals whose involvement adds significant value to the club’s community service efforts.

Promoting Peaceful Conflict Resolution in Schools

Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan, with the National Chamber of Mediation and the Institute of Migration and Integration, launched the project “Promoting Peaceful Conflict Resolution through Peer Mediation in Schools” at Ismail Qemali High School, Tirana, with 20 students participating. The session focused on the Juvenile Criminal Code and promoted mediation as a peaceful solution. Students received Junior Mediator certificates, and the project will continue in Tirana, Durrës, Elbasan, and Korçë.

Rotary eClub Annual Assembly

On December 4th, 2025, Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan held its Annual Assembly at La Gondola Restaurant. Club President Silvana Karajani reviewed the year’s activities, projects, donations, and presented the financial report. Two potential new members attended, and voting was held for the President Nominee for 2026/2027. The evening continued with a “Food & Wine Tasting” dinner hosted by sommelier Entela Cenko, with part of the proceeds supporting the club’s ongoing projects.

Support Initiative for the School of the Deaf in Tirana

On 11.12.25, a delegation from Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan, under the guidance of the Club President Ms. Silvana Karajani, visited the School for the Deaf in Tirana, where our club contributed by donating two physiotherapy devices, TENS and Ultrasound, for the school’s physiotherapy room.

Rotary New Year and Charity Evening

On December 18, 2025, a New Year and Charity Evening was held. This event was organized together with all the Rotary clubs of Tirana and beyond. We were also honored by the presence of the District 2485 Governor, Mr. Arben Dushi, and the Past Governor, Mr. Butrint Batalli. During the evening, membership certificates were also awarded to club members.

A Christmas Act of Giving and Compassion

On this Christmas Eve, a sublime, magical, and blessed day of love that God bestowed upon all humanity with the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan visited the Zyber Hallulli Children’s Home, offering gifts that our club prepared with love and dedication for the children.
